Meet Riding the Silver Lining, aka “Taxi”

75% Gypsy Vanner and 25% Mustang. 

Standing just under 14.2 hands and still growing, Taxi has received age-appropriate training and has a solid foundation. He leads, ties, stands to be groomed and does well with a patient farrier. He has also worn a saddle twice and accepted it calmly, but has not yet been started under saddle.

What stands out most about Taxi isn’t just his color—it’s his mind. He is friendly, curious, level-headed and willing. Instead of immediately reacting to something unfamiliar, he wants to stop, think and investigate. He handles new experiences with a calm attitude and takes things in stride.

Taxi has been raised in a busy, real-life farm environment and is accustomed to tractors, side-by-sides, ATVs, large equipment, dump trucks unloading material and children running and playing. He genuinely enjoys people and gets along well with other horses, dogs and cats. He is usually the first one waiting at the gate and absolutely loves being groomed and pampered.

Physically, Taxi is eye-catching without even trying:

• Beautiful silver dapple dun coat with a dark dorsal stripe

• Four white socks and a bold blaze with unique markings

• Great bone, a strong hip and a balanced, athletic build

Taxi has the versatility to go in many different directions. Whether developed for trails, driving, ranch work, obstacles or as an all-around riding partner, he has the sturdy build, movement and sensible mind to become something truly special.
